Bamboo Theme for BigCommerce

Bamboo began as a way to make our e commerce expertise more accessible, and grew into a fully branded, research driven BigCommerce theme now used by merchants across a wide range of industries.

Arctic Leaf has designed custom BigCommerce themes for over a decade, and we wanted to package that expertise into an “off the shelf” theme for merchants launching quickly or with smaller budgets. As Creative Director, I defined the product through market research, created a brand identity and story, and ensured it remained linked to the Arctic Leaf brand while standing on its own.


I chose the name Bamboo for its strength, versatility, and connection to nature, aligning with our agency’s identity. The theme offers three variations (Zen, Grove, and Bend) each tailored to different merchant needs uncovered during research. Working closely with designers, developers, and marketing, I guided production and launch to meet our original goals. Bamboo blends speed, accessibility, and mobile-first design, and is now live on the BigCommerce marketplace, gaining popularity and generating both recurring revenue and agency leads.
